About Doug
Doug was the first child born to Bill & Melissa Berry. He grew up in Texas City, Texas and attended Texas City High School. At age 13, Doug began cycling and completed his first cycling event, the MS150. From that moment, he was hooked. He has competed in countless races all over the US & Europe. He has won many awards including 4 Collegiate Conference Championship medals, the 1996 Alkek Velodrome Rider 
of the Year, 1999 State bronze medalist in the individual pursuit, silver medalist in the Madison, gold medalist in the State Team Pursuit and he was a 2000 Olympic Team Track Trials competitor. He has taken a break from competitive cycling this year and now rides with me in local charity events.
Doug attended Stephen F. Austin where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree and a minor in Biology. After college, Doug spent several years working for Texas Fish & Game magazine as a Graphic Artist. He currently works as a Graphic Designer for Grubb & Ellis Commercial Real Estate in the Galleria area.
Brandi about Doug: At the recommendation of a friend of mine I actually sat down and wrote a list of all the qualities that I was looking for in my perfect match. I never in a million years thought that I would actually meet a man that met this description. When I read Doug’s profile on Match.com, I knew that I had to meet him. I waited a whole week after subscribing to the site to “wink” at him. (Everyone knows that patience is not my best quality!) He turned out to be everything I had hoped for and more. Sometimes I sit back and still think he is too good to be true. He is handsome, smart, talented, thoughtful and funny. He spoils me and he makes me laugh everyday. He was definitely worth the wait!
